A Ribble Valley fish and chips company that “loves working with wedding couples to create a bespoke experience” has been nominated for a national award.

Country Fried, based in Langho, has already been named one of the country's top three mobile fish and chip vans, and aims to be the best in the North West at the Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

Having catered for numerous weddings, it aims to suit the requirements of the couples to make their special day as good as it can be, with food being such a crucial element of the wedding day.

Country Fried owner, Simon Matthews, said: “We are extremely excited to be shortlisted in the Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

“Winning the catering category would mean a lot to myself and the Country Fried team.

“We love working with wedding couples to create a bespoke and memorable experience on their special day.”

Judging is based on feedback from clients that has caught the eye of the expert judging panel.

The regional winner will be crowned in November before progressing to the National Finals in January 2025.

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: “Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game.

“Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success.

“Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things.

"Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.”

The North West awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday, November 12, at Larkspur Lodge in Cheshire.
