A pianist will be performing a recital in memory of a Burnley church volunteer at the weekend.
David Smith and his wife Caroline were instrumental in setting up Saturday morning concerts at St Peter's Church.
The recital will mark two years since Mr Smith, who was a former East Lancashire coroner, died.
Pianist John Mark Rose will be performing Lennox Berkeley’s six preludes for piano, in addition to works by Bach and Mozart.
First learning to play the piano at the age of four with Marion Hankin, John went on to study at Chetham's School of Music under the tutelage of Peter Lawson.
He then read music at the University of York, studying piano with Joan Dixon.
John has performed widely across the north of England. At St Peter's his visit will start at 11am on Saturday, October 19.
Admission will be £7, which includes refreshments served from 10.30am.
Free parking is available in the school yard on Rawcliffe Street with disabled parking in the church grounds.
