Students at a Ramsbottom school have enjoyed a day with exotic creatures.
On Monday, October 7, St Andrew's CE Primary School on Nuttall Lane hosted an event featuring rabbits, tarantulas, owls, snakes, tortoises, and frogs.
The children had the chance to handle the animals and learn interesting facts.
One enthusiastic student said: "I'm going to ask my mum if we can have a pet tarantula at home."
The event was funded by the school's PTFA, who had challenged the students to raise money over the summer holidays.
Their efforts resulted in raising more than £1,000, which will allow the students to enjoy another fun day.
