A patch of abandoned land in Oswaldtwistle is set to be regenerated into an affordable housing development.
MCI Developments, a part of Keepmoat, is transforming the former Rhyddings Mill site into a 37-home estate.
The new project is part of a multi-million-pound investment in the North West, with other plots in Leigh and Tyldesley in Greater Manchester which are set to be redeveloped.
The Oswaldtwistle site is to be made available for affordable rent in collaboration with the housing association Places for People.
The development will consist of 27 semi-detached and terraced properties, alongside 10 semi-detached townhouses.
Craig Murphy, regional managing director at MCI Developments, said: "The team is delighted to be regenerating these derelict sites across Lancashire and Greater Manchester to enable local housing associations to deliver much needed, high-quality affordable new homes which will bring significant investment to the county.
"Across these sites, we are making a significant investment into creating fantastic communities, improving biodiversity, and upgrading frequently used public footpaths.
"We’re proud to stand alongside our partners to mark the beginning of our delivery of new developments."
The project in Oswaldtwistle will transform the abandoned land, which was formerly home to Rhyddings Mill.
The derelict site will be given new life as a residential area, providing homes for local people.

The construction of the homes is expected to be completed and ready to welcome new residents by the summer of 2025.
