It’s only the start of October but already plans have been revealed for the Christmas light switch-on events in Blackburn and Darwen.
Darwen’s event is set to take place on Sunday, November 17. Blackburn’s event is set to take place days later, on Saturday, November 23.
More details of the events, including the headliners, are set to be released at a later date.
A spokesperson said: “Just days to go until Darwen gets fabulously festive for the Christmas Lights Switch On 2024!
“Make sure to highlight Saturday, November 16, on your calendar - it's a day you won't want to miss!
"A whole host of incredible free entertainment, festive markets and the best vibes at Darwen Market Square.
“Have you had a guess at who's headlining yet?
“We'll be revealing that piece of top-secret information very soon.”
Last year’s event saw a ‘record 3,000 people’ fill King William Street, in Blackburn.
A performance by Katrina’s Dance Academy captivated the crowd with sequences from musicals before the dazzling lights switch on and fireworks display.
In Darwen, crowds were entertained by 90s dance act N-Trance.
The mayor and mayoress of Blackburn with Darwen Council were joined on stage by the mayor for Darwen and the council’s assistant executive member for growth and development for the big switch on with host, and former The Voice star, Kiki DeVille.
