A Blackburn woman has married a complete stranger on national television, after appearing on an E4 reality show.
Amy Kenyon is the latest addition to Married at First Sight, where strangers get married before meeting each other after being paired with the help of expert analysis.
The 27-year-old wedding planner described herself as “spontaneous and goofy” adding that she was hoping to marry a classy gentleman with dark features.
She said: “I am very sociable and can literally speak to a brick wall but I am the most single I have ever been in my life.
“Working in weddings emphasises how much you’re missing out on. It does get a little bit lonely and I want my special day.
“My relationship history is tragic. I have been cheated on in the past in two previous relationships. It broke my heart and ruined me. Now, I don’t give myself a chance to meet anybody. I put myself first.
“I’d love to meet somebody and for them to give me butterflies. My ideal man would be a classy gentleman with dark features. I hope he is a nice person with a good heart. I want more than anything to be loved.”
Amy’s first episode aired last week and she tied the knot with 30-year-old Luke Debono, from Malta.
Wearing a dress, supplied by The White Gallery in Ramsbottom, the pairing initially looked promising and Amy said she felt “relieved” to see Luke at the bottom of the aisle.
She said: “Luke is ticking boxes. He is very charming and handsome.”
Soon after the ceremony, Amy said Luke’s affectionate nature was giving her “the ick” [slang term for the sudden feeling that you dislike someone or something or are no longer attracted to someone because of something they do].

She said: “He is my type on paper but he is very intense. I am not sure I am feeling the vibes yet.
“Being so close to someone I have never met before is a little bit awkward. I am not sure how to react to some of the comments he is making. I think he is very flirty and I am not used to it.
“The finger twiddling is very touchy-feely… it’s giving me the ick a little bit.”
Will their relationship survive? Only time will tell.
Sadly, their relationship did not stand the test of time and they later separated.
Jay, who has one arm, has had a lot of success since and was recently named as an ambassador for Reach, a charity that provides support for children with upper limb differences.
Married At First Sight airs Monday to Thursday at 9pm on E4. You can catch up with previous episodes on demand.
