An East Lancashire college group has announced three new appointments to its board.
Nelson and Colne College Group has welcomed the new board members who bring expertise in finance, education and digital leadership.
Arif Ahmad, Sarah Applewhite, and Darren Hutton will help the group in enhancing its educational impact, efficiency of operation, and long-term growth.
Mr Ahmad and Mr Hutton are former college students and have enjoyed successful careers, with the EG Group and Grant Thornton in finance, and in digital leadership at Hippo Digital, the NHS and the Department for Work and Pensions, respectively.
Ms Applewhite is joining the group from Bradford College and will aid in enhancing the quality of learning and teaching by bringing years of experience to meet the needs of students.
NCCG principal Lisa O'Loughlin said: "We are delighted to welcome Arif, Sarah and Darren to the NCCG board.
"Each brings unique and valuable expertise that will help drive our strategic vision forward.
"Their combined knowledge and experience will be a huge asset as we continue to adapt, grow, and meet the needs of our students and stakeholders."
Ms Applewhite added: "It’s an honour to join NCCG at such a pivotal time.
"I look forward to working with the board and the wider team to ensure that the students receive the highest quality education and training possible, and to support initiatives that will continue to strengthen the Group’s impact on the local community."
