The beautician who is one of the world’s best permanent make-up artists has been nominated for the Lancashire Telegraph’s ‘Best Beauty Salon’ prize.

Georgia Taylor opened her salon, in Grimshaw Street, Burnley, under her name six years ago and has continued to go from strength to strength.

Having been a finalist in the International Aesthetics Awards she has propelled her career and become famed for her tarte brows and lip gloss.

Georgia said: “It was quite a surprise. It feels nice, that they chose me, so it is a personal choice, I have a lot of regular clients and it is nice that I have built that client base up and that people trust me.

“There is a lot of competition in Burnley at the minute, but I keep trying to build up my client base and my treatments.”

Having begun her career in special effects makeup, she began gradually building her treatment list with her main focus always being on semi-permanent make-up.

Georgia added: “I got into the final of the semi-permanent makeup of the worldwide competition and that is something I am quite proud about.

“It was amazing I wasn’t expecting to get noticed, so getting to the final I was really shocked to be honest and getting new clients as well, it does look good for your business, things like that.”

Despite her success, the challenges of the pandemic disrupted her business and Georgia found it hard to get back into the routine.

She said: “I think it was pushing myself to get back into it and it was hard at first.

“People miss having treatments in lockdown and people were excited to get back after lockdown and that really helped and this is the busiest I have been since I got back.

“Luckily I got some grants and stuff but yeah for people they appreciate it more now than in lockdown.”

Her clients have continued to rave about her both in Burnley and online where she has amassed more than 300 five-star reviews.
