Police have handed out fines in Blackburn after cars were parked illegally.
On October 2, officers in Blackburn carried out their second 'road-ready revamp' operation, resulting in further progress toward improving road safety and accessibility in the town.
The coordinated effort saw officers and parking attendants out on patrol tackling the issue, seizing eight abandoned vehicles and giving out numerous fines for cars being driven without MOT and illegal parking.
Police say the entire right-hand side of Highfield Road in Blackburn was cleared of abandoned vehicles, significantly improving access and cleanliness in the area.
Local neighbourhood inspector for Blackburn, Kathryn McIntyre, said: “This operation is part of an ongoing campaign to tackle these issues in the area.
“We will continue to work with partners to make our roads safer and more accessible.
