A podcast co-hosted by a Burnley radio presenter has won an major industry award.

Help I Sexted My Boss, hosted by Clarets fan Jordan North and etiquette expert William Hanson, won the listener’s choice award at the British Podcast Awards.

They thanked their listeners, playfully nicknamed the ‘g and divas’, for voting.

Speaking after the award win, Jordan, who co-hosts the Capital Breakfast show, said: “We are absolutely made up.

"We were up for quite a few tonight but this is the one we really wanted to win.

“Our ‘g and divas’ are why we do this and I am proper chuffed with it.

“To all the wonderful g and divas that have voted and listened [to the podcast] it really does mean a lot.

“We started this thinking we’d only do two series”.

A statement was also posted to the official Help I Sexted My Boss Instagram page, which said: “What can we say but thank you.

"We have just won the 2024 Listeners’ Choice Award at the British Podcast Awards.

“The trophy may be being held by us tonight but it belongs to all of us.

“If you listen or watch us, laughing and crying along, please know that you are the reason we turn up each week and make silly jokes and (try to) answer your dilemmas.

“We love our wonderful team and we love you all. Thanks for your support.”

In the hit podcast, Jordan and William help their listeners you navigate the challenges of modern life, answering 21st-century questions and finding solutions to everyday dilemmas.

They also share some of their own life stories and experiences.

Last year, they also published a book of the same title.
