A man has been arrested and charged with vehicle interference in Blackburn following reports of an incident last night, October 1.
Officers were called to reports of a man allegedly trying door handles in Campbell Close, Blackburn.
Following enquiries, a 46-year-old man was arrested and questioned on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
Patrick Harris, 46, of Stansfield Street, Blackburn has since been charged with interfering with a motor vehicle and has been remanded in custody.
He was due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court today, October 2.
Police have urged people to ensure that all valuables are removed from view in the car and placed in the boot if they cannot be stored in your own home.
When leaving your vehicle, ensure that you do not rely on the key fob to lock the vehicle and do a physical check of the door handle to ensure it is locked.
