At 9.20 any other morning, Blackburn Boulevard would have been full of buses.
But on May 10, 1975, the town’s main bus station was deserted as Blackburn Corporation bus drivers called a one-day strike.
It’s a great photo showing the ornamental roundabouts at either end of the Boulevard with the station on the left and the Palace Cinema, back right.
