Train services in Lancashire are disrupted today (September 29) due to a shortage of train crew.
A member of Northern train crew is unavailable on the Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street route. Other services across the north west are also disrupted.
Services on these routes will be cancelled today and people have been urged not to travel. No replacement bus services will be provided.
A spokesperson for Northern said: “A member of train crew being unavailable [on the] Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street [route].
“Services on these routes will be cancelled all day today, Sunday, September 29. You cannot travel by Northern trains on this route and no replacement road transport will be provided. Do not travel.
“Customers may travel with Transpennine Express on routes that apply, with Transport For Wales between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester (please note this will be a different calling pattern.) Also tickets can be used on Northern services via Manchester.”
