Motorists and residents have been warned of road closures in Clitheroe in the coming weeks for annual events in the town.
Roads in Low Moor, Clitheroe, will be temporarily closed on Sunday, October 6, for the town’s Civic Sunday procession.
The affected roads in and around Lowmoor Way and St Paul’s Street will be closed between 8.30am and 10.45am.
The order has been put in place for the safety of those taking part in the event, and to keep the procession route clear of moving traffic and obstructions.
The roads will be closed to all pedestrians and traffic, except emergency vehicles.
Access to properties affected by the road closures will be maintained.
There are a number of events planned in the town over the coming weeks that will also affect traffic.
They are the Clitheroe Torchlight procession on October 5, Clitheroe Castle bonfire and firework display on November 2, and the Remembrance Sunday parade and service November 10.
Details on the temporary road closures at these events are also available on the Ribble Valley Council website.
