One person was injured in a crash in a crash between two cars on the M6 this afternoon.
Police were called just after 3.30pm to the scene between J31 Samlesbury and J30 Bamber Bridge heading south.
Congestion stretched back for six miles beyond Preston while there were delays of around 70 minutes at their peak.

All three lanes were closed initially though lane three reopened again fairly quickly.
The other two lanes reopened just before 5.30pm.
Lancashire Police said one driver suffered a minor injury but did not give further details.
Normal traffic conditions are not expected until around 7.30pm but all lanes are now open and running again.
