At the start of the month, the Lancashire Telegraph reported that librarians at the site were facing barrages of abuse which culminated in the windows being smashed.
There is no evidence this incident was related to the arrested boy.
This week, Hyndburn MP Sarah Smith visited the library alongside Cllr Noordad Aziz to show support to the staff and highlight the facility.
Ms Smith pledged her support to working with the police to ensure that the alleged perpetrators are held to account.
