Lancashire has plenty to offer to both locals and visitors but what’s one thing you’d share with someone who was visiting the county?
Whether you love Blackpool’s entertainment or you can’t stop thinking about its scenic walking routes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
To find out which parts stick out for locals, we asked Lancashire Telegraph readers to share the things they’d recommend to those visiting Lancashire.

Things you can’t miss when visiting Lancashire according to locals
Lancashire locals recommended a number of attractions they’d recommend to visitors including Blackpool Illuminations, Blackpool Tower and the “beautiful parks” as well as the “beautiful countryside” you can take in.
One local said: “Beautiful countryside surrounding most areas”, adding a red heart emoji.
Another said: “Pendle Hill. Clitheroe. Whalley Abbey. Downham. Witches Galore. The Pendle Witch pub”.
A third said: “Lots of beautiful parks, Witton, Townley, Ashton, Haigh Hall. Lytham st Annes”.

Another spot that was mentioned was the “singing ringing tree” in Burnley which is a sculpture that makes sounds as the wind blows.
Overall, Pendle Hill was the most popular attraction with some also mentioned “the surrounding villages” and other locations in Lancashire, including Salmsbury Hall, Wycoller and more.

Next up, some locals recommended local cuisine including black pudding, pies and a “chippy tea”.
When it comes to food recommendations, one local commented: “A Butter Pie” while another said: “Black pudding”.
“Potato pie” and “Meat pie” were also mentioned by locals.
Potholes on Lancashire roads were also a popular topic of discussion between locals.
