The beauty salon, where the owner “loves her job”, is a finalist in the Lancashire Telegraph’s competition honouring the best in the beauty world.
Infinite Beauty, based in Hargreaves Street, Burnley, is coming up to its 10th anniversary providing a wide range of treatments to its loyal fan base.
Owned by Jessica Swindells, the business is well known for its nails and skin care.
Jessica said: “It is quite an achievement, it is a great feeling. You feel valued in your job, and I am extremely proud.
“We value our customers and their feedback. We specialise in all aspects of beauty, we have our customers coming in and I love my job and it would mean the world.
“I have been in the industry for 15 years now all together and took the plunge on my own and it has paid off.”
While acknowledging the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic made work difficult, Jessica has said since then people have realised how critical beauty treatment work is for their own well-being.
The additional strain from the cost of living crisis has brought additional challenges as the cost of products has continued to rise, but thanks to the support of customers Jessica has been able to carry on providing her service.
She added: “I think since Covid, people have realised that beauty treatments are an essential and before Covid people didn’t think that.
“I think we are busier than ever and with the cost of living the cost of products everything is going up year but year, but people are still supporting us.
“I think as long as people want to feel good about themselves there will always be beauty treatments, so we are busier than ever at the moment.”
She is the only person who works in her shop, having started at age 20.
She used to be supported by her sister, before she moved away from East Lancashire, but has continued running the shop as a one-woman band since.
Readers can vote for the ‘Best Beauty Salon 2024’ by picking up copies of the Lancashire Telegraph between Monday, September 30 to Saturday, October 12.
