A crash involving several vehicles caused rush-hour delays on the M65 on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway for junction 3 at Blackburn West to junction 4 at Darwen at around 8.30am.
There were delays for drivers heading towards Burnley.
Traffic now appears to have returned to normal on the motorway.
A traffic report said: "Slow traffic due to earlier accident on M65 Eastbound from J3 A674 Chorley Road (Blackburn West / Wheelton) to J4 A666 Earcroft Way (Darwen / Blackburn South). All lanes have been re-opened."
