A former bakery could be redeveloped into industrial units if plans are approved.
Salim Musa of RGB Property Management Ltd has applied to Ribble Valley Borough Council to develop the site of the former bakery within Ramsgreave Business Park on Pleckgate Road.
The building is largely unused at the moment save for an area on the ground floor which is let of a short-term storage lease.
The building is to be demolished with two distinct blocks erected in its place.

Under the plans, the first unit will comprise five individual units, each with an approximate floor area of 94sq.m and each with a part mezzanine floor and washroom facilities.
The second unit will be similar except it will be divided into just two separate units, each with the same facilities as the first.
A design and access statement said: “The two distinct structures are designed using the same palette of materials. Punched windows at the upper level will be double glazed in an aluminium frame, colour grey.
“Particular care has been taken to ensure that Unit 1, fronting onto Pleckgate Road, does not appear monolithic.

“The scheme seeks to make the most efficient use of the site, with proposals designed to make optimum use of the available space to provide new employment units.
“It is expected that each unit would be fitted out by the individual occupier to meet their specific requirements.”
