A road in Church is closed after a crash.
Blackburn Road is closed from the roundabout at Market Street due to a crash.
Police say the road will be closed for “a short amount of time” while the road is cleared. A minor injury has been reported.
Officers recommend looking for an alternative driving route.
A police spokesperson said: “We want to update you and let you know that Blackburn Road, Church is currently closed from the roundabout at Market Street due to a road traffic collision.
“We anticipate that the road will be closed for a short amount of time, whilst we clear the road.
“In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.
“We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and we’ll update you here once the road is open. As always, thank you for your patience and stay safe if you’re out and about today.”
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 2.16 on Wednesday, September 18 2024, three fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Blackburn Road, Church, Accrington.
"Crews administered first aid to one casualty and then handed the casualty into the care of the North West Ambulance Service. Crews were engaged for approximately forty-five minutes."
