A Darwen band are gearing up to play at one of the biggest music nights to take place in their home town.
Hollins released their debut single in April and followed that up with a music video filmed on the streets of Darwen.
The band is made up of five members; Liam McIver, Ali Staley, Aiden Hughes, Andy Hoole, and Joe Summerfield, who are all from the Hollins Grove area of Darwen.
The video was shot in Whitehall Park and Darwen town centre and stars Harry, 13, and Max Pilkington, seven, who are band member Liam’s cousins.
On Saturday, September 28, Hollins will feature at ‘This Feeling’ at Sunbird Records which will also host Redearth and Callis.
This Feeling started life as a monthly club night in London 15 years ago and has become one of the UK’s number one promoters of emerging acts, with nights showcasing new artists in more than 42 cities and stages at major festivals.
Bands who played early shows with This Feeling include Catfish and the Bottlemen, Blossoms, The Struts, Easy Life, Anteros, Black Honey, Inhaler and Red Rum Club.
Redearth burst onto the local scene in 2023 and are going from strength to strength with a set full of indie rock anthems. Their debut singles ‘Demon’ and ‘Fuse’ are out now on all major streaming platforms.
Meanwhile, Callis live performances have been described as 'accidentally joining a cult' and after 'the first couple of songs, the audience will find themselves in the middle of something special, wondering how they got there.'
