Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences, after stopping a car in Rawtenstall.

Officers signalled for the Range Rover to stop as it traveled along Bury Road, Rawtenstall.

A search of the vehicle found seven large vacuum bags of cannabis, a small amount of class A drugs, and around £2,000, all of which have been seized. The driver of the vehicle also tested positive for a drug wipe.

A 30-year-old man from Haslingden has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, possession with intent to supply class B drugs, money laundering and possession of class A drugs.

A police spokesperson said: “Operation warrior is Lancashire Police's response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by police and crime commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
