Accrington Stanley’s popular firework display is set to return to the Wham Stadium in its seventh consecutive year.
After a disappointing start to their footballing campaign, the club will be hoping to add a spark through “one of the most popular fireworks displays in the area”.
The event will take place on November 3 and will get underway from 5pm until 10pm, with the fireworks display taking place at approximately 7.30pm.
Warren Eastham, commercial director at Accrington Stanley, said: “Our Funfair and Fireworks event is one of the most popular fireworks displays in the area and every year we receive great demand for tickets.
“With the funfair, fireworks, food and drink, we have got entertainment for all the family, and it is always a really amazing community atmosphere here at the Wham Stadium.”
Hot and cold drinks will be on offer in the club’s fan zone, including beers and wine being served.
There will also be burgers, hotdogs and pies on offer alongside a funfair provided by John Collins Funfairs.
It has been sponsored by Hyndburn Council and the display will take place at the Coppice End with standing tickets also available for the Clayton End, with unreserved seating available from the HML Recycling Jack Barrett Main Stand and the Eric Whalley Family Stand.
Councillor Kimberley Whitehead, portfolio holder for culture, heritage and arts, said: “Hyndburn Borough Council have sponsored this event for a number of years, and we are keen to show our support for the club and the great community space and events that they provide.”
Tickets are priced at £4 for adults, £2 for under 16s and £10 for a family ticket which includes two adults and two under 16s.
For safety purposes, those bringing pushchairs or prams should purchase tickets for the seated stands as well as dedicated spaces available for wheelchair users and carers.
Anybody under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and entry could be refused if an adult is not present.
Tickets can be purchased online through the club website or the club shop and advanced purchases are recommended to avoid disappointment.
