A person has been injured in a crash on the M6 northbound this afternoon (September 16).
There is heavy congestion between junction 31A and junction 32, in Broughton.
According to police, a crash was reported at around 2pm and a minor injury has been confirmed.
Traffic site, Inrix, said one lane is closed and there is queuing traffic due to an accident in the roadworks area.
Highway cameras show queuing traffic along the stretch of the motorway.
AA Traffic and Travel has warned of “severe delays” of 14 minutes and increasing.
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “[There are] severe delays of 14 minutes and delays increasing on M6 Northbound in Lancashire. Average speed 10 mph.”
