A Burnley horse charity is providing all the Halloween essentials as the spooky season looms.
Horses and Ponies Protection Association (HAPPA) will run numerous fundraisers throughout October, ranging from psychic mediums to a big Halloween party.
On Friday, October 4, punters will have the opportunity to connect with the supernatural at The Fence Gate, Burnley.
They will be joined by the team from Psychic Nights UK, who will be providing their mediumship abilities for two live readings.
And the charity’s Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe will be keeping the ghostly theme at the forefront and hosting a Halloween evening in collaboration with Poison Ivy Cocktails.
There will be several freaky drinks as well as a three-course meal event.
Linda Clough, fundraising manager, said: “October this year will be the best one yet at Shores Hey Farm, from pups, ponies, parties, trails, to cocktail evenings we have it all.
“We encourage everyone to jump on board and join us to raise vital funds for the charity’s vital work rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses.”
And attendees are encouraged to bring out their best Halloween costume, for a party held at the HAPPA Café on October 25.
There will be a night of games, a Halloween disco and prizes for the best children’s and adults’ fancy dress up for grabs.
Children will be well catered for over the half-term break and a Potion Madness Trail will encourage kids to search Shores Hey Farm to find hidden ingredients to save all the horses from an evil goblin.
Additionally, they can interact with the horses protected by the charity including a Halloween-themed Own a Pony Day, Pony Squad and Pony Grooming Sessions.
Finally, the Woof Shack will be hosting a scavenger hunt and indoor play as well as a family favourite Halloween Dog Show which has lots of award categories up for grabs.
Some events are ticketed and must be purchased in advance from HAPPA.
