Blackburn actress Helen Flanagan said she “would love to go back to Coronation Street”, in a candid interview on ITV show Lorraine.

Host Lorraine Kelly asked the former Westholme School student if she would like to reprise her role as Rosie Webster on the soap, after she left the cobbles in 2018.

Lorraine said wild child Rosie “has to come back” to the show and Helen agreed.

The 34-year-old said: “I am still in touch with Sally Dynevor [who played Helen’s mum Sally Webster].

“I would love to go back to Corrie and work near Manchester [so I can be close] to the kids.

“I would like Rosie to come back with loads of kids and cause chaos and fob them off to Sally and just be wild.”

On Lorraine, Helen also spoke about her Celebs Go Dating appearance, where she dropped the bombshell that she had a ‘secret boyfriend’.

The 34-year-old was trying to find love on the show, which sees celebrities go on dates with civilians to try and strike up a romantic relationship with them. She shocked dating agents on the show by dropping the shocking bombshell that she was already dating someone.

Helen revealed her boyfriend on the show and even took him on a date. He was later revealed to be Robbie Talbot, from Liverpool. Robbie now works in construction but is a former professional footballer.

Speaking to Lorraine, Helen said: “When I signed for the show it was the beginning of the year. We were dating and it just progressed. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I wanted to come clean.

“It’s not his thing at all to come on a reality show as he’s a ‘blokey bloke’.

“I watched the show as a single mum last year and I thought ‘am I going to find that [love] again and someone who will love my kids?'. I thought it would be nice for single mums to see [you can have] a nice and healthy relationship.”

Helen also spoke about her split with ex-fiance, Scott Sinclair, and said the break-up felt “like a divorce”.

She said: “I think co-parenting is a journey in itself. I’m not young, but I’m 34 and I’ve got three children.

“I see my relationship with Scott as like a divorce. We had three children, a house, we were engaged. If you’re 10 years older maybe you can deal with it a little better, but it was a lot.”

Appearing alongside Helen on Celebs Go Dating are former Gogglebox star Stephen Webb, Married At First Sight UK's Ella Morgan, Love Island star Chris Taylor, Tristan Phipps from Made in Chelsea, and actress and singer Jamelia.
