A new beer is set to be launched this week to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Blackburn Rovers’ historic Premiership title win.
Three B’s Brewery and the We Are The Rovers Supporters Trust have collaborated to launch a locally crafted bitter named Uncle Jack’s Best Bitter.
Rovers won the title on May 14, 1995, and in celebration, there will be a launch event for the beer held tomorrow (September 17) at The Black Bull pub in Brokenstone Road, Darwen.
The ticketed event will include special guest appearances from Kevin Gallacher and Mark Atkins.
Three B’s Brewery is an award-winning microbrewery founded in 1999 by Robert William Bell, starting from a shed in his family home in Cherry Tree before relocating to Darwen.
A spokesperson for the brewery said: “As Blackburn Rovers fans, it was an honour to be asked by Mike Graham, chair of the Supporters Trust, to help commemorate the club’s 30th anniversary with a unique bitter to celebrate and remember how our greatest supporter, Jack Walker, made every supporters’ dream come true when he owned Blackburn.”
The We Are The Rovers Supporters Trust has worked towards supporters’ representation on all levels by having a diverse board and representatives of other fan groups.
