A burst water main on Ainsworth Street in Blackburn saw a number of shops being flooded in November 1986.
Here the mopping up operation begins in the Co-op store with staff member Susan Gardner rescuing the duvets in the household section with Keith Dickinson, the store’s deputy manager on mop duty.
