Blackburn welcomed a royal visitor in February 1989 when a new YWCA centre officially opened in the town.
HRH Princess Alexandra was given a tour of the facilities and declared the new centre on East Park Road open.
She was welcomed to Blackburn by the mayor, Councillor Gordon Toole.
