A man who denied strangling and assaulting a woman will stand trial next year.
Mark Herd, 47, entered not guilty pleas to two counts of intentional strangulation and a single count of assault at Burnley Crown Court on Tuesday (September 10).
Herd, of Pendleton Road, Wiswell, is alleged to have assaulted a woman in April of this year.
A trial date was set for May 19, 2025, with further hearings on March 24, 2025 and September 26.
He was granted conditional bail until the next court date.
