Mountain rescue responded to an unresponsive casualty at Darwen Tower on Tuesday, September 3.
At 5.05pm, Bolton Mountain Rescue Team was called by North West Ambulance Service to respond to a casualty, who had been spotted as being unresponsive by a passing fell runner.
A member of Bolton Mountain Rescue responded in their car and a colleague from Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, who happened to be walking in the area, joined him.
The pair kept the casualty warm and performed observations until a team vehicle arrived.
Once the vehicle was on the scene, the responsive casualty was conveyed to the top of Belgrave Road where they were transferred to an North West Ambulance Service ambulance to be taken to hospital.
Bolton Mountain Rescue wished the casualty a full and speedy recovery.
