A man has been arrested in Darwen following several vehicle interferences last night.

Police were called to an address on Waterside, Darwen at around 4am to reports of an individual trying car door handles.

On arrival officers obtained CCTV footage and a suspect was identified and arrested.

A 34-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and is currently in custody.

Police have urged people to ensure that all valuables are removed from view in the car and placed in the boot if they cannot be stored in your own home.
