A man has pleaded not guilty to intentionally strangling a woman.
Steven Hulme, 43, is alleged to have strangled the woman during an incident in Darwen in July.
Appearing at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday (September 4) Hulme denied the offence, but did plead guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the same woman.
Hulme, on Lynwood Avenue, Darwen, will next appear in court on September 12 for a further case management hearing where it is expected a trial date will be set.
