A new series of Brassic, which was filmed in Bacup, is set to air this month.
Sky has revealed the first look images and trailer for series six, which will see the gang reunite on our screens this September.
Fans have been told to expect even more adventures and precarious and thrilling escapades, with the explosive trailer featuring a speeding hearse, a crocodile, guns, swords and a life drawing class.
Brassic launched onto screens in 2019, quickly becoming Sky’s highest rated 60-minute comedy series ever and the show continues to be the best-rating Sky Original comedy each year it has been on air.
Returning for season six, the series includes multi-BAFTA nominee Joe Gilgun (“Vinnie”), Michelle Keegan (“Erin”), Ryan Sampson (“Tommo”), Tom Hanson, (“Cardi”), Bronagh Gallagher (“Carol”), Joanna Higson (“Sugar”), Aaron Heffernan (“Ash”), Parth Thakerar (“JJ”), Bhavna Limbachia (“Meena”) and Steve Evets (“Jim”).
Series seven of Brassic is in pre-production now.
Co-creator Danny Brocklehurst said: “It’s always a delight bringing this magical show to audiences and I can’t wait for viewers to see what’s next for all of them. Showcasing series six is going to be very special. Expect the unexpected…”
After an epic end to the last season, the gang is back with as much wild adventure and hilarity as ever. Reeling from the explosive encounter with Manolito, they set about getting their lives back in order.
Only now the landscape is changing, people are getting older and the question of growing up looms in the air. But what does ‘growing up’ mean to a bunch like this? Season six is a madcap journey involving man-eating crocodiles, bigamists and a naked cult.
The MacDonagh’s are creating trouble again, stepping it up a gear as they get high on new-found power. And amongst all this, we’re taken on an emotional rollercoaster with some heartfelt goodbyes and new love interests on the horizon.
In November, pictures emerged of the Brassic cast filming the series in Bacup.
Pictures feature Michelle Keegan, who plays Erin Croft, and Chorley’s Joe Gilgun, who plays Vinnie, behind the scenes.
Another shot shows a potential spoiler for the episode, featuring a hearse with a coffin inside.
The cast and crew also paid a visit to Baked Cakes and used the cake shop as their green room.
Bacup doubles as the backdrop to the series, the fictional town of Hawley.
Brassic series 6 will launch on Sky Max and streaming service NOW this September. All episodes of Brassic are available to watch now.
