A man has pleaded guilty to possessing more than 50,000 indecent images of children.
Mark Threlfall, 61, entered his pleas at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday (September 4).
Threlfall, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, admitted downloading 52,358 category C images, 2,998 category B images, and 2,703 category A images.
He also admitted possessing an extreme pornographic image and possessing four prohibited images of a child.
No sentence date for Threlfall was set at this hearing.
His next court appearance will be on October 2 for a mention hearing.
