A woman who stabbed her estranged husband in the neck has been jailed.
Ann McKenna, 55, stabbed John McKenna during an incident in the bedroom at her flat on December 9 last year.
The court was told he had been helping his wife move into the property.
An attempted murder trial for McKenna, of Chatburn Road, Clitheroe, was due to begin at Preston Crown Court earlier this year before she pleaded guilty to section 18 wounding, which was accepted by the prosecution.
She also pleaded guilty to using controlling and coercive behaviour against Mr McKenna between December 2015 and September 2023, in June.
McKenna was due to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court last Wednesday (August 28) but her hearing was adjourned to this Wednesday (September 4) after HMP Styal failed to produce her on the video link.
She was sentenced to five years in prison at that court by Judge Simon Medland.
