Lancashire’s poshest seaside towns and villages
Lytham St Annes came out on top as the poshest with locals voting for the town more times than any others mentioned.
One local said: “Lytham is the only decent one” while another simply commented: “Lytham St Anne's.”
Visit Lancashire shared some information about the seaside location, writing: “Just two miles from the bright lights of Blackpool, Lytham and St Annes, Fylde, are worlds apart in both character and atmosphere.

“The dual seaside towns are nestled along a picturesque stretch of coastline lined with well tended lawns, a boating lake and pretty parks.
“With an expansive sandy beach (which you can view online), Victorian pier, historic windmill, a 'royal' golf course and stylish independent shops, the dual seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes continue to remind us why we all love the British seaside so much.”
Some locals named Silverdale as the poshest with one saying: “Heysham, Arnside, Silverdale.”
Arnside and Silverdale is described as “extraordinary” and “famous for its amazing wildlife, stunning scenery and superb walks”, according to Visit Lancashire.
Also mentioned were the likes of Southport and Bispham.
