Firefighters have dealt with two domestic property fires, with one casualty suffering burns to both hands.

Crews at Burnley and Accrington fire were called to two separate incidents last night to deal with small fires.

One fire engine from Hyndburn attended a fire at the rear of a domestic property on Brocklethurst Avenue where they tended to an individual who had suffered slight burns.

Teams used one hose real to put out the fire and were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes.

At 5.01pm on Tuesday, September 4, teams at Burnley fire were called to extinguish a fire in Clayton Fold.

The blaze involved a propane cylinder outside which had spread to the decking and UPVC door to the rear of the property.

Teams used one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a one-step ladder to deal with the canister.

They were on the scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
