Police have issued a warning to residents in Blackburn after reports of ‘bogus workmen’.
Officers have received reports of these men operating in the Beardwood area.
The men were driving two black vans. They knocked on doors offering to power-wash driveways.
According to the reports, they say “your neighbour is having it done” and offer a free patch test. They then say it will cost £400 to do the rest.
Officers say they do not want to see residents being “extorted”.
