Fire services were called to a derelict building fire in Burnley this morning, with crews stating it is suspected the blaze was arson.
Two fire engines from Burnley and Nelson attended the building in Willow Street, and the fire was extinguished using one hose reel and one triple extension ladder.
The building had been undergoing renovation and had a large scaffolding around it.
It is thought someone had used the scaffolding to enter the premises and deliberately set fire to the upstairs.
Crews struggled to access the building due to the scaffolding which surrounded the property.
There have been no reports of injuries due to the fire.
Burnley Council will now board up the windows to prevent any further occurrences.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
Lancashire Police have been contacted for comment.
