A man who brandished a knife at a town centre bus stop has been jailed.
James Butterworth, 41, told an individual at the bus stop in Great Harwood that if he did a backflip he would go and stab a bouncer.
Earlier in the day on August 9, he had been seen showing the knife to a group of girls.
Butterworth, of Town Hall Square, Great Harwood, admitted to possessing a knife in a public place at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court.
It was heard that Butterworth was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident and that he did not have a great recollection of what happened.
Recorder Kevin Slack at Burnley Crown Court sentenced Butterworth to eight months in prison.
