A former town centre bar is set to become the new site for a travel agency after plans were approved by the council.
Harmony Voyages, a family-run travel agent based at Holmes Mill in Clitheroe, submitted plans to take over the site of Corto last month.
Corto closed in 2023 and the building has been empty since.
Ribble Valley Borough Council approved the plans subject to the usual conditions.
A heritage statement said: “The proposed works are minimal in nature, the scope of which is limited to cosmetic changes to the interior and exterior of the property.
“With respect to the external painting, the proposed colours are chosen from the colours used as part of Harmony Voyages branding provide a complementary appearance to other nearby properties and do not detract from the existing character of the area.
“To mitigate any potential negative impacts, the following measures will be implemented: use of materials and designs that are in keeping with the original structure, retention and restoration of original features wherever possible, and consultation with a conservation officer to ensure compliance with heritage guidelines.”
The applicant added the impact on the building will be minimal, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
In a description on its website, Harmony Voyages said it "works closely with various cruise operators to deliver top-class experiences with added value."
