A Blackburn musician is going on tour with his band and is also preparing to release a new EP.

Jacob Reddy, 19, and his bandmates, Liam Riley (drums), Liam Farrell (lead guitar), and Theo Brockbank (bass guitar), will go on tour in November.

From November 14 to November 17, the band will perform at venues in Liverpool, Cheltenham, Manchester and Leeds.

This is after the release of the band’s new five-track EP called These Streets Are Ours, which will be released on November 1.

Jacob said the EP will appeal to indie/rock fans.

He said: “This is our first full-length project [as a band].

"This is the first time we have put all the songs together and we are putting them out there towards the end of the year.

“The songs have an indie/rock feel but they all sound different from one another. Some songs are upbeat and others are serious.”

If this was not enough, Jacob and his band members recently released the song Flowers.

Jacob said: “It’s a song we released as a surprise release, as it’s a song we’ve been playing a lot over the summer and people have been enjoying it.

“It’s an upbeat-sounding song about not knowing where you want to go in life and wanting to find the right path.

“People seem to be listening and really enjoying it. It was nerve-wracking to release it last minute because you are not promoting it as much as you normally would.”

Jacob is excited to get on stage at the end of November and hopes fans can sing some of his new songs back to him.

Their “biggest headline show to date”, at Manchester’s Factory251 has a capacity of 300 and Jacob says tickets are selling well.

He said: “It would be absolutely amazing if my fans could sing the songs back to me.

"I absolutely can’t wait to get out and play shows and head to places in the north.

“Manchester’s venue is a big room for us but we are very much looking forward to it. Ticket sales have been going well so far so fingers crossed it should be a good night.

“We have started preparing, practising and getting the set list together this week. There are songs we haven’t played in a very long time and are ‘throwbacks’ to previous years.

"We can’t wait to play a little bit of everything.”
