The emergency services were called to a crash in Church today (August 28).
At around 11.50am, two fire engines were called to Dunkenhalgh Way.
The incident involved one vehicle that left the road.
The fire service used a variety of equipment to rescue one person, who was later placed in the care of the ambulance service.
Crews were in attendance for an hour.
Police said no serious injuries were reported and that the crash involved two cars.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 11.50am on August 28, two fire engines from Hyndburn attended a road traffic collision on Dunkenhalgh Way, Clayton-le-Moors.
“The incident involved one vehicle that had left the roadway. Firefighters used a rope pack and a 10.5m ladder to rescue one casualty, before placing them in the care of paramedics. Crews were in attendance for approximately an hour.”
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.36am today to reports of a collision on Dunkenhalgh Way, Church, Accrington.
"Officers attended, this was a damage only collision involving two cars."
