Colne school staff say they are “immensely proud” of all their pupils as students leave with an impressive collection of GCSE results.
Fisher More RC High School celebrated a hoard of fantastic results with students demonstrating unwavering commitment having overcome numerous challenges.
The school achieved a 69 per cent pass rate in English with 60 per cent excelling in mathematics and 54 per cent of students achieved the crucial grade 4 or higher in both core subjects.
A statement from the school said: “We are immensely proud of each and every one of our pupils.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our pupils for their exceptional performance in the examinations and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.”
Across all subjects, many of our pupils have reached the highest levels of academic excellence and numerous pupils have achieved at least one grade at the esteemed levels of grade 8 or 9.
Additionally, 14 percent of pupils attained grades exceeding level 7.
And there were plenty of individual accomplishments including Lilly Finann, who achieved grade 8 in maths, a 7 in physics and grade 9 in all her remaining subjects.
Agne Zvirblyte also excelled and secured a grade 9 in English, History, Biology, Chemistry, and RE.
And Max Hartley was also on cloud nine attaining four grade 9s in English, mathematics, RE, and history.
Luke Irons also received outstanding results include grade 9s in biology, chemistry, physics, and RE.
After a ‘requires improvement’ Ofsted report last year headteacher Clare Hayes said that the school was committed identifying the areas to make improvements and addressing them appropriately.
