A Blackburn restaurant has launched its own new morning breakfast menu.
Jaan’s Restaurant which is based on Charlotte Street said the unlimited morning buffet had proved to be popular since it was launched earlier in the month.
The traditional South Asian buffet features hot drinks, chapati, naans, daal (lentils), paya (hooves) and sweet dishes.
The £10 buffet will only be available on the weekends from 9am until 1pm.
Jaan’s is believed to be the first major restaurant to offer a morning buffet of this kind in the town. Although smaller dessert parlours and cafes do offer morning breakfasts with a South Asian twist.
Manager Saad Waseem said: “We have been looking at the changing things a little and offering people.
“It has been good to offer something different to our diners. We are meeting new people each week.
Mr Waseem added: “This is the traditional South Asian breakfast from the sub-continent and it is becoming more and more popular with families especially on the weekends.
“The dishes are all freshly made and the paya has been really popular with customers.”
The restaurant has also undergone renovations recently with new signage and the interior redecorated.
Jaan’s has sites in Blackburn and Bolton but the breakfast buffet is only available at the Blackburn location.
