The fire service was called to a house blaze in Burnley in the early hours of the Friday morning (August 23).

At around 4am, four fire engines from Burnley and Nelson attended a house fire on Branch Road.

Firefighters used a variety of equipment to put the fire out. Crews were in attendance for around one hour and 15 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 4.19am, four fire engines from Burnley and Nelson attended a house fire on Branch Road, Burnley.

“Firefighters used one hose reel and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. No injuries were reported.”
