When this photo was taken in 1991, the Forrest’s Arms was very much a pub at the heart of the community.
On Wensley Road, Blackburn at the corner with Garden Street a pub had been on the site since the 1860s.
For many years it was a Dutton’s pub but would close around 1999.
The official sign above the door gives the definitive spelling of the pub’s name - it is often referred to as the Forest Arms.
Do you remember the pub? Perhaps it used to be your local. Share any photos you may have along with your memories and leave a comment.
