Pupils and staff at the Al Islah Girls’ High School in Blackburn have been thanked by members of the school leadership team.

The school is based on Audley Range and celebrated another successful year.

Headteacher, Mrs Nikhat Pardesi, said: “We are so proud of the achievements of all our Year 11 students who collected their results.

“Despite the many challenges they have faced over the last few years, their successful results have proved how hard working, determined and committed they are. On behalf of all the teaching and support staff at Al Islah, we would like to wish all our students the very best for the future.”

Chair of the school's governing body, Hasan Desai, said he was so proud of each and every students.

“The students have worked so hard and deserve the excellent grades. The calibre of the students at Al Islah year on year just amazes us.

“Over the years with the hard work and dedication from the governors, the headteacher and the staff has made Al Islah a school of excellence.

"We will continue working hard as a team to ensure the standards are kept to an excellent level and continue investing into the school.”

He wanted to thank the governing team, the headteacher and all the staff "without whom none of the achievements would be possible".

Mr Desai added: “We would like to thank the families for the support.
